Edward S. Crooks

A lifelong passion and ability for growing wealth for individuals, families, companies, and institutions, Ed has over 40 years of financial and investment experience with specialties in investment consulting, employee benefits, trusts, and estates.

2002
Together with Brian Selby, Ed founded Counsel Trust Company. Ed is the largest shareholder of Counsel Trust and serves as Chairman of the Board.
1986
Founded ECA Investment Group, with offices in Hanover and York, PA.
1978–1985
Served as senior trust officer and head of Farmers Bank trust department in Hanover, Pa., building its assets from $3 million to $80 million.
1981
Received ABA National Graduate Trust degree in trust administration at Northwestern University, Chicago, Ill.
1971–1978
Served as trust officer at PennBank Corp, a large bank holding company in western Pennsylvania.
1977
Received a Master of Business Administration in finance and security analysis from Clarion University, Clarion, PA, where he later taught portfolio and security analysis courses at the undergraduate level.
1974
Graduated from Pennsylvania Bankers Association Trust School at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA.
1971
Graduated from Grove City College, Grove City, PA with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and economics.

Brian D. Selby, CFA

Brian brings over 30 years of investment management experience as a portfolio manager for businesses, institutions, and significant individual accounts. Brian also specializes in employee benefits and trust administration.

2002
Together with Ed Crooks, Brian established Counsel Trust Company. Brian is a significant shareholder of Counsel Trust and serves as a member of the Board.
1997
Acquired part of ECA Investment Group, from Ed Crooks.
1985-1997
Served as a portfolio manager at Allied Investment Advisors (formerly York Bank & Trust Co.), where he managed $300 million in equity and fixed income assets.
1990
Received his Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
1985
Managed $80 million investment division at a local bank trust department.
1980
Graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in business administration and banking/finance.
A member of the Baltimore Security Analyst Society.

David L. Dolan

David has over 30 years experience in the Trust/Wealth Management business.  David handles investment management and administration of all types of personal, IRA’s, institution and custody accounts including estate settlement.  He also handles various retirement plan services for many businesses.

2004
David was named President of Counsel Trust Company. He is a shareholder and serves on the Board. He has been an integral part of Counsel’s formation and growth.
2002
David joined ECA Investment Group as a Principal.
1996-2002
David served as managing director of a $330 million trust department. He was responsible for fixed income and equity management for the department.
1991
Received his Charter Financial Planning (CFP) designation.
1989
Graduated from PBA Trust School at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA.
1987-1996
Held various positions of management at York Bank & Trust Company, York, PA.
1985
Graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with concentrations in accounting and finance.

Brandon E. Crooks

Brandon oversees Counsel Trust’s institutional business working closely with attorneys and outside advisors on directed trust and private label relationships. He also provides investment management and consulting services for businesses, retirement plans and high net worth individuals..

Obtained Series 65 license.

Joined ECA Investment Group as a Principal.
2008
Served as an Assistant Vice President at Bank of America in the Corporate Investments Group of the corporate bank.
2006
Obtained Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
2005
Served as an Analyst and Associate at Banc of America Securities, LLC in the Global Structured Products Group of the investment bank.
2004
Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in finance.

Wanda M. Chilcoat

Wanda has over 31 years of commercial and trust banking experience. She has specific expertise in trust accounting and tax preparation. Wanda oversees all trust account reviews and assists in trust company administration.

Joined Counsel Trust Company as a Principal and Trust Administrator.
1999-2004
Wanda served as a trust administrator and trust officer for a local trust department.
1995-1999
Served as a trust administrative assistant at Allfirst Trust Company (formerly York Bank & Trust Company), York, PA.
1996
Graduated from PBA Trust School at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA.
1978-1995
Served as security processing supervisor and in commercial operations at York Bank & Trust Company, York, PA.
Wanda is also a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute and attended York College of Pennsylvania.

Geoffrey M. Platt

Geoff has more than 25 years of investment management and trust administration experience as a financial advisor for businesses, institutions, and high net worth individuals. In addition, Geoff has significant experience in the design, implementation, administration, and investment management of qualified retirement plans.

2007
Geoff joined Counsel Trust Company/ECA Investment Group as a Principal.
Prior to Counsel Trust, Geoff served as a vice president and senior financial advisor at Sterling Financial Trust Company. Served in a number of managerial capacities in addition to managing a diverse client base.
Prior to Sterling, Geoff served as an employee benefits officer for Fulton Bank.

Received his Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation.
Graduated from Cannon Financial Trust School at University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind.
1997
Received his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation.

Bonnie has more than 35 years of experience in trust management and operations involving the processing of securities, cash, and other assets for major bank trust divisions.

Jason A. Yonkovitch

Jason provides wealth management for individuals, businesses and retirement plans as well as handles marketing needs of the firm. Prior to joining Counsel Trust Group, Jason worked in the front office for the Reading Phillies, AA Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies in Reading, PA.
